Please join as the Pacific Family Business Institute (“PFBI”) releases the results of its 2018 survey of over 80 family businesses in Oregon and Washington. The 2018 Survey gathered data on board structure, processes, and compensation including:

  • Fiduciary board or advisory board?

  • What are other Northwest family’s doing to improve their boards?

  • How much do they pay their directors?

  • Do you pay family directors?

  • Do you have outside directors? What are the benefits of adding “outside” board members to your board?

Rich Simmonds, the co-founder of PFBI, will explain the Survey results and distribute to the attendees a copy of the Survey. In addition, we will have an expert panel of family business owners and managers who will share their insights on governance of the family and the business. The panel consists of:

  • John Rothenbueler, Retired CEO and Chairman of the Board, Qwik Lok Corporation

  • Brian Nelson, Owner and Board Member, Valley Tractor and Nelson Legacy Group, Chairman of the Board, Cashmere Valley Bank

  • Mike Henningsen, former President, Board of Directors, Henningsen Cold Storage

Bill Weigand, Chair of the Family Business Group, Davis Wright Tremaine, will moderate.

We hope you will be able to join us for this informative and interactive presentation
